In US classrooms, 'tech sherpas' assist teachers with computers
In a role reversal, students provide the tech support, creating a 'culture
of respect' between teachers and teens.

On two of these discussion groups, we have been discussing concerns of kids
bypassing the filter. At one time, I commented on the wisdom of the
statement: Where you tend a rose a thistle cannot grow. (The Secret Garden).
I really, really endorse the approach discussed in this article. Not only
does this help in school, this is a good way to address concerns of youth
hacking. This puts the technically proficient young people in positions of
respect and gets them onto a really good career path.
