There is a very interesting video called "A fairy(y) Use Tale" on Youtube by
The Stanford Fair Use project. Two-three seconds worth of multiple Disney
videos are used to tell what copyright, fair use, etc. is.
It's interesting how it's done with just snippets of these videos. Sometimes
just one word from each movie, or a few words are joined together to make
sentences teaching about copyright. The disjointed feeling it might give would
be alleviated if a script of the video was given to viewers beforehand.

Subject: Gen: Teacher/Student Question About Copyright
I had a teacher share an interesting question from a student yesterday. He a=
sked her if=C2=A0the copyright date on a book is no longer valid, what can h=
e do with the book. Can he plagiarize it? He is 8 years old. I would like to=
clarify for them. How would you explain this to them? Is there a kid friend=
ly website on copyright and fair use or on plagiarism that addresses this in=
a simple way?=C2=A0
Thank you,
Sally
