Dear wise library people,
One of the small cities my school serves has decided to have a "one city,
one book" program this fall. The high school and adults will read Tortilla
Curtain, and middle school (my level) will read Pam Munoz Ryan's Esperanza
Rising. So, my school is looking for activities that would tie into the
theme of the book. We've thought of book discussions and read alouds, but
would really appreciate any other ideas. Also, if you have done book
discussions for Esperanza Rising, I would appreciate it if you could share
your discussion topics.
Thanks so much!
Jane Lofton
