*My question was:*

If I could quickly request your FAVORITE top 5 NEW (so many lists are so
dated) books that you would consider for Hi/Lo

Also, I have Orca and HIP, but KNOW that there is another Hi\Lo affordable
series about gangs and minorities...but I can't recall the publisher. If
anyone else has a publisher or series recommendation I'll take those too!

*Reponses:*

That would be Townsend Press, Bluford series. http://www.townsendpress.com/

The Bluford Series is kind of new (2004 and newer) and is about minorities
and gangs, etc. It is fiction, so I am not sure that is the one you were
thinking of or not. Very cheap ($1/paperback)

*Do you look at YALSA's quick picks for reluctant readers? Full of
things you mentioned. (this was an awesome site and has been a wonderful
source!)
