Fellow LM_Netters,
I work in a small, low-income elementary school that has low reading scores and we
are always looking for ways to get our students to read.
I recently purchased the READ CD from ALA Graphics and would like to make posters
of readers in my school as a reading incentive. I have made posters of the
principal, superintendent, and school secretary so the students can see them
reading their favorite book. I am looking for suggestions on criteria to use for
the students to be able to have a poster made of themselves. I can't make it too
difficult or it will scare them away and at the same time, I can't make it too easy
because I want it to be really special. I am thinking that I will tell them they
can't say they have read a book that has been made into a movie. And I don't want
to use the AR program that we have because they have lots of different incentives
for that.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! I will post a HIT if I get responses.
