LM-Netters,

Do the television advertisements showing "school employees" pulling down a screen
to immediately calm and quiet a group of students bother anyone?
True as it may be that students know what to do with a screen (be quiet and give it
your total concentration), I'm disheartened by the advertising campaign that
insinuates that we do, or should, use media this way -for classroom management or
on buses. Sorry, I don't even remember the company whose products are being
advertised.

Perhaps I'm a bit over-sensitive. This has been my area of study this year for my
professional development goals.
I'd be pleased to see a conversation about this on the list, if it's not too far
off-topic.
