Hello Library Furnishings experts!!
After waiting eons (9 years!) we'll finally be moving into a new library space in
the fall. I'm in the market for some nice benches for a casual reading area. I'd
like something wooden with a back. I serve a daycare-grade 12 population so I'm
going for adult sizes.
I've found benches in library furnishings catalogs in the $900 range and I've found
cedar wood benches (designed for outdoor gardens) in the $300 range.
What's your opinion? Will I be satisfied with a cedar bench (when I can buy 2!) or
should I spring for the oak library intended bench?
I welcome your opinions and ideas about what has worked well for you. As always,
many thanks.
