   Here are some of the courses we are offering for Summer 2007. *These
course are offered to all educators at a special rate. None of these courses
are listed on the URI webpage and are open only to educators. To register
for these courses please send me an email to Christine@uri.edu.

EDC 479: Problems in Education (3) grad credits
TOPIC: Documenting Exemplary Teaching Practices: NBPTS.  *Open only to
National Board candidates. Cost $400
*Wednesday: 8/1 class meets from 9-1PM
Saturdays: 8/18, 9/22, 10/13, 10/27, 11/17, 12/1, 1/5, 2/9 & 3/9 classed
meet from  8AM-12PM.
Registrations accepted up until first class meeting.
Class will meet in the Chafee Building of the URI-Kingston campus


**EDC 920: Workshop for Teachers (3) grad credits $500
TOPIC: Using the INTERNET FOR TEACHING,  LEARNING, & PRACTICAL APPLICATION

**Class begins May 21 and ends July 27.2007.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE  May  18. This class is conducted totally online.

TOPIC: **USING BLOGS AND WIKIS TO FOSTER LITERACY

TOPIC: Science and the Elementary Classroom. Cost $300
*The class will meet on the Newport Naval Base and you *must* pre-register
so that you have enough time to get a base pass. Grades will be posted at
the end of the Fall semester.
