One of my Gr. 12 English teachers came to me this morning with a
suspicious paper, and she wanted me to run it through out plagiarism
detection service, MyDropBox. But we were unable to find an
electronic version of his paper on our server, which means that the
clever little bugger either did it at home or did it at school but
didn't save it.
I remembered a LM Net posting from a while back about using Google
for plagiarism detection, so I took the most unique (and suspect)
sentence from the paper, put it in quotes and googled it. Within 2
seconds I was looking at the obscure blog that he had cut and pasted
from. Were it not for LM Net we would never have been able to prove
this infraction of the rules. Thank you, LM Net!
