The local Friends of the Library group gives our 5th graders a book every
year. They are asking me to suggest the book this year. Since we are
doing a research project on the Holocaust and our school-wide theme is
"tolerance" this year I want to recommend a Holocaust title. They like to
give newly published books so my old tried and true favorites aren't what
they want. Does anyone know a chapter book for 5th graders that has been
published in the last couple of years that you would recommend? If not a
Holocaust theme, then maybe something to do with tolerance?
I'll post a HIT with a list.
