Hello,
I admit it, I am a cultural wasteland.
As a child (maybe age 10 or so) I argued with my parents because I wanted to be
taken to an opera that was coming to town. I had seen little snippets on tv
commericals.
So, for my birthday present, my dad got two tickets and took me. He suffered
through it. It was, I am 99.9% certain, in Italian. Although I did not understand
anything, I was able to sort of follow the story and I thought it was rather cool.
All I know is that it was about a man who kills his wife because he believed she
was unfaithful. He may be a gypsy because I distinctly recall seeing a gypsy-like
wagon on the set behind him. After he kills her, he breaks into this song. I have
had something like one bar of that FREAKING song going through my head for the past
month.
I HAVE to find this song and listen to it to make it go away. Can someone give me
a clue as to what opera it is?
Please? I'm begging here.
