In the midst of all the chaos here, my principal has asked me to check out a
company that offers "free" books. The company is Literacy Empowerment
Foundations out of Westchester, PA. Their website is www.LEFbooks.org. I
have done some checking and apparently whatever amount of money you spend on
books, they will match that amount with "free" books. The books are
paperback and appear to be primarily for lower grades. The problem I am
having is that I can't find any of their titles on any book list or review.
One of the titles is "Swamp Thing" (Larkins). These books are published by
BFAC which stands for "Books for a Cause." I just can't figurure out WHICH
cause. I am very skeptical, but all my principal can see is "free." Does
anyone have any experience with these books? Any information would be
appreciated.
