[LM_NET] TARGET: need recommendations for an online discussion board

Hi,
   
  Last year our regional district held it's 2nd annual One Book One Community 
program.  It was a great success, with only 1 problem, which was partially caused 
by a lack of communication amongst committee members.  We used NiceNet for our 
online discussion board and while we were happy with this product, we must have the 
e-mail feature blocked out/unavailable (not sure if I'm using the right wording for 
this).  I believe NiceNet was free, but when we contacted them, it is not an option 
to turn off the e-mail feature.  In order for us to have an online discussion board 
this year, we need to find another company that's either free or very inexpensive 
(under $50-100) and that will turn off the e-mail feature.  Any suggestions (and 
contact info) for me ?
