[LM_NET] Re Historical Fiction for Westward Expansion

Good morning,

The list of historical fiction posted earlier----please consider, when 
using these books, that they present the west as an empty place, when it 
was not an empty place.

If you, as a teacher or librarian, have modified your teaching of Columbus 
to reflect the fact that there were people here when he arrived, please 
modify your teaching of westward expansion and manifest destiny, too.
