Okay...never mind.  Thanks for everything guys...I just learned from the website 
listed here (thanks, Susan) that Laurie Halse Anderson will be taking a sabbatical 
from school visits during the 2006-2007 school year BUT she will still be speaking 
at conferences.....

(in layman's terms:  "I don't think you can afford me anymore, because I'm moving 
up to the Big Shows--those Conference Speaking Engagements!")

Gee,....wish I could get a "gig" like that!!  :>
