Our Tech Department is looking to replace our current IPrism network
internet filter system. While it's filter is pretty good and is
customizable, it doesn't provide much in the way of traffic
monitoring and reporting.
Some of the requirements are:
include a good, customizable filter
real-time traffic monitoring
packet shaping
user profiling (allowing different settings based on the user's profile)
really good network utilization statistics and reports.
One product we have looked at is Cymphonix's Network Companion. While
we really liked their reporting we weren't able to get their user
profiling to work properly. And their filter is not as customizable
as we would like.
We would be very grateful for suggestions of other products for our
Techies to examine
