Our district grant writer informed us that we received the federal
Improving Literacy Through School Libraries Grant. The district award
is $300,000. My slice is $30,000. I was shocked that we got it since
we are a high school district and most of the money had been going to
elementary schools. This is the second time we have applied. The grant
writer used the reviewers' comments to modify last year's rejected
application and did a great job.
What a great way to start off the school year.
