[LM_NET] Target:HS ID Tags and barcodes

Our high school of 1100 students began issuing and requiring that
students wear ID tags two years ago. This has met with some resistance
from students who forget them or just refuse to wear them.  Teachers
spend a lot of time making sure that their kids have them on & issuing
warnings or detentions if they are not visible. Our administration has
decided that if the ID tags served another purpose-such as having their
library barcodes and/or their lunch account codes on them-that students
would then have to wear them.

I am wondering if any of you have ID tags with library barcodes
imprinted on them and use them for checking materials out. We are using
the Dynix Scholar library system and Infinite Campus student information
management software, which I would imagine would have to be compatible
to download the barcode/student info.

Any input would be appreciated.
