No way am I "bubbly". I was not going to get into this discussion when I first read
Molly's post, but here I am. Not only am I not bubbly, I too live inside my head. I
even tell my kids I don't do animal sounds (It's up to them) and I don't sing. I
think they like story time anyway.:-)
Anyway, I had an interview for a college position in our local community college
where I am already known from working part time. I heard how impressed the
committee was, "blown away" by my sample lesson, blah, blah, blah. When I asked why
I didn't get the job, I was told there was just something, some "spark" missing. I
guess even colleges want bubbles.
Meanwhile, to all of you who post intelligent, funny, insightful, helpful, etc.,
messages about your work and how much you love what you do, remember how important
you are to all those children who really don't care if there's bubbles or not.
