[LM_NET] ELEM: Note-taking strategies for third grade

I am seeking ideas on note-taking strategies for third grade classes.  I will be 
working on different strategies throughout the year.  I know about the trash and 
treasure method, but what other ideas work with third grade? Students are going to 
be studying landforms, and I would like to model finding keywords and phrases for 
my first lesson.  What strategies have worked for you?
