Have you seen the new ETS (Educational Testing Service--the same group
that writes the SAT) pilot test which involves testing students in the
areas of Information and Communication Technology skills?
Here's a link: http://www.ets.org/ictliteracy/
How are your library / technology departments planning to address this
issue if / when students are required to show competency in the areas of
information technology on their tests for college? Do you think this is
a "valid" component for college entrance --or just another way for ETS
to make money on tests? (one of the arguments that I've read about....)
I would love to hear what you are doing--- on or off list!
Thanks!
