A while back I posted for another LMS in my district. Here is her response to all
of you:
Thank you to everyone who wrote to Rennaisance Learning about posting AR test
corrections so that everyone who owns a test can download the correction. We are
starting to make an impact, so don't stop yet!
Yesterday, I was told I had to "prove" I owned a test before they would release the
correction I had requested. As the test was purchased five years ago from a book
publisher, Advantage Learning [as AR was called then] did not have a record of us
buying the test, and there was no way I was going to search for a 5 year old PO.
When I finally asked for a supervisor, she immediately agreed to send me the
correction. She said that anytime I run into that problem, I should just ask for a
supervisor. So, I am passing along that tip as well.
When I asked about posting test corrections, the supervisor said they were looking
into that. Please spread the word about contacting Rennaisance Learning about
proving "bug fixes" to everyone for their test errors.
AR Test Corrections have been created for the following elementary titles
1. Typographical Error
Test #35893
Gasoline for the Car [Little Blue Readers]
Sloan, Peter
Question reads: "What makes a hole in the old field?"
[The word "old" should be "oil" -- see page 2 in book]
2. Two correct answers offered for a question:
Test #9191
Scared of the Dark
Alexander, Lisa
The question reads, " What did Bert tell Ernie?"
[There are 2 correct answers listed:
1. to imagine nice things [this is the answer that is marked CORRECT]
2. to count sheep
[This answer also appears in the book right after the coatrack page when
Bert says, "No wonder you're scared of the dark. You forgot to take
Rubber Duckie to bed with you. Now settle down, Ernie. Count sheep or
something..."
Sincerely,
Kathleeen East at Westside ES
