Hi everyone, I am a former classroom teacher, now a graduate student working
towards my masters degree in library/media. I really enjoy reading all of the
messages. They are very helpful!
I am doing my thesis on the importance of LMCs in alternative education in Michigan
- a study similar to the other state studies showing the importance of libraries in
education. Since these studies link libraries to better reading scores, I was
wondering does anyone know of studies or articles stating that reading ability is
linked to academic achievement. I know we all know this is true as a matter of
common sense but what is the research? Any articles or websites that you know of
