Our high school librarian bought all the library media techs copies of Practical 
Steps to the Research Process for Elementary School, by Deborah B. Stanley, 
(Libraries Unlimited, 2001.)  She's also written one for middle and one for high 
school.  I've found it to be a very useful book for helping my 4th and 5th graders.

I know I have bombarded you all with questions this summer, but it's just
because there are so many knowledgeable librarians here!!!

I would like to purchase some professional books (for myself), but I'm not
sure what the best ones are.  I just want to become more advanced in my
role as a librarian.  I teach K-5, but I think eventually I would like to
move up to maybe high school.  I know Linworth offers quite a variety.  I
want something dealing with technology & websites (because I have loved
putting my website together)& I want something about Big 6 & something
just "librarian" related.  TIA:)
