When I started in this library last Fall, I was handed a LARGE box of Library
Passes from the printer (complete with the old librarian's name on them). After
having used these since then, I'm convinced that there must be a better way! Do any
of you have printed passes that work well for you? I'd like to know exactly what
the teachers expect the kids to be doing in the Media Center when they send them,
but the form I've been using is too complex for any teacher to fill out. So,
generally, they just put the student's name on it and sometimes sign it--if I'm
lucky.
Any suggestions?
I checked in the archives and saw that some schools use time clocks to track the
students' time in the media center. Have any of you had experience with this? And
if so, do you also use a paper pass from the teachers to give you a clue of what
their intent is in sending this student to you?
