Hello,
In September I will begin my new adventure as teacher librarian after 14
years as a classroom teacher. I am very excited about the new challenges and
have enjoyed and learned from the posts made by the 'experts' in this group.
I wondered if anyone could share a start of year survey or questionaire that
they use with the staff to see what they would like to see in their school
library? Our library is quite outdated, but I only have a very limited budget
to start refurbishing the collection, so I really need the input from the
staff on what things are 'missing'. I was thinking of asking for book
suggestions, themes/topics, activity suggestions ( ie. author visits, book
clubs, etc. )Also, do any of you send out a monthly fill in sheet to teachers
to see what their curriculum plans are for the month? I will send back a hit
if there is interest. Thank you.
