[LM_NET] Orientation/Beginning of the Year lessons for grades 3-5

Hello all,

I was hoping to get some fresh ideas for library
orientation/beginning of school lessons that you do
with grades 3 to 5, including any books that you read
aloud.  This is my third year as an LMS.  The first
year I was there I spend the first month of school
assessing what level of library skills the students
had.  Last year's September was chaos (we had to keep
the library closed due to computer problems and then I
went out on maternity leave).  I am hoping to have a
fresh start this year.  Thanks for any ideas or
lessons!
