Again a request from all of you wonderful resources!
My county is wanting schools to investigate extended hours. I know there has been a
lot of discussion over the years about the pros and cons. I am at a suburban/rural
HS where most students ride buses. Parent participation is quite low. The topic of
security has been broached when we discuss opening a couple nights a month. At
present our library is open from 8:00 to 4:00 (teacher's hours) even though student
hours are 9:30 to 3:45.
I'd like to know what has worked for some of you out there. If you have found a way
to reach even a few extra students by extending hours, please send your suggestions!
