Yup...been there, done that.
I'll email you privately some forms our district uses when a book or
other media is questioned; some handouts I've used that discuss the
First Amendment and the background of CIPA; some lists of "Most Banned
Books," a couple of websites with titles / discussion of banned books;
an article from the Minneapolis Star Tribune discussing a locally famous
case regarding Internet porn guidelines; a very modest outline of some
points to talk about...you'd have to flesh these out yourself a little,
I kind of have them in my head, and a PPT that goes along with these. I
have examples of books that have been banned in 4 areas: Social,
Political, Religious and Sexual.
If anyone else would like any of this stuff, let me know. I understand
we can't send attachments via LM_NET itself.

Subject: Target: Outline for talk on censorship
Hi all,
I have been asked to give a brief talk on the issues of censorship =
and freedom to read, from the aspect of library service, and most =
particularlly, the school library. Rather than re-invent the wheel, I =
was wondering if anybody has done something like this, and might have an
=
outline I could use as a starting point. There is so much information =
on the topic, I am beginning to think the most challengingly part of =
this will be focus! Many thanks for any assistance!
