HS Science paper help

Dear all:

I'm very excited: : our HS Biology teacher has agreed to do a research
paper!  We're looking for an example of what other schools require (length,
footnotes as parentetical notation or actual footnotes, etc. - the topic
list is already set).  If you have a copy of an assignment - it doesn't
have to be Biology - and perhaps a page or so to show us it would be really
helpful.
