Oh, Seuss! Off to Great Places
July 2, 2004—September, 2005
Celebrate the magic of Dr. Seuss and free your imagination to take you to new
places!
Based on themes from Oh, the Places You’ll Go! and other Seuss classics, this major
interactive exhibition sends children and families off on a journey to accomplish
feats only possible in a Seussian world.
Families can--
Teeter on a circus tightrope in the Circus McGurkus!
Become jugglers or trapeze artists through the magic
of trick photography.
Dress up in Seuss-inspired costumes!
Help put together the gravity-defying, giant, whirling
Throm-dim-bu-lator!
Catch Seuss’s words on hands, arms and heads as they magically rain down from
above.
Add stories to an interactive Sneetch GrafittiWall posted live on the internet
Unslump a mighty Borfin.
See sketches and manuscripts by Theodor Seuss Geisel
and be inspired by his creative process.
In a special early childhood area designed for our youngest visitors, children can—
Sit in Horton’s nest.
Race eggs down Horton’s slide.
Climb into the Green Eggs and Ham train and car.
Play rhyming games by the Green Eggs and Ham boat
