Hi Joanne,

I am currently enrolled at University of Idaho for on-line independent
study.  I have only taken one class, the state of Illinois does
recognize this school for certification purposes.  I have found the
people at U of I to be most helpful.  So far I like what I'm seeing.

Dear Joanne,

I just signed up for 2 independent study classes through Fresno Pacific
University.  One is folktales from around the world, and the other is poetry
for children.  Teachers in my building have taken these and rave about them.
There are quite a few offered that would be appropriate for lms'.  Hope they
are what you're looking for.

I am responding to your posting on LM_NET concerning online courses for
Library Media Specialists. I am currently working toward my MLS from Texas
Women's University. The complete MLS program is online. Some of the
Children's literature courses are also online with more to be added.

North Texas State also has an MLS program that can be completed online.

This is the University of Northern Iowa and they have online classes and
distance learning classes. I just finished taking an HTML class online with
them.
