TAR: Roadblocks to Collaboration--And How to Overcome Them

Dear Colleagues,

Well, while we're talking about collaboration this week  . . .

We all know that there are ROADBLOCKS littering our paths; in fact, my
collaboration books deal with them, both from the practical wisdom of LMS's
who contributed units to the books as well as from the perspective of "what
the research shows."

But I continue to try to get smarter about overcoming roadblocks to
collaboration, both in my own work and as I help other LMS teams and groups
in my speaking.  So, what do you think?  What have been YOUR roadblocks to
collaboration in your current or past jobs?  And what have you done to
overcome them?  How have you succeeded in your quest to collaborate despite
the odds?
