If pants drag and fall down, rope belt--enforced
Shirt not appropriate--wear gym t-shirt over the top
young lady:
Too short of a skirt or split--gym shorts underneath--enforced
Shirt too short or too low or too revealing--wear gym t-shirt over the top
If underwear is showing, we just politely inform the young lady that "we
know that you probably are not aware that you are showing this. I just
wanted to tell you so that you wouldn't be embrassed to find out that you
were showing underwear to everyone."
--For male teachers--female teachers have been known to quietly go to a
young lady and help her to the office while explaining that the blouse was
not appropriate for school. Nothing else being said, since they know the
below will go into effect.
They are sent to the office for the male/female vice principles to deal
with.
Parents are called that morning with the student explaining that they were
inappropriately dressed for school.
Teachers:
Shorts are permitted (male & female--all year long if wished), as are
slacks, dresses. We are to dress to AT LEAST the student guidelines, or
better. Shoes to be functional. Friday jean day for staff.
And yes, I work at VERY relax casual schools.
