Dress Code

This last week, I've been filming myself in action to submit to National
Board for my portfolio.  During my presentation I use computers, SMART Boards,
projectors, etc.  I found that the more comfortable I feel, the better job I do
in my presentation with students.  If I feel relaxed, I do a better job.
Anything I wear must not be too tight or binding.  It must also have pockets for
keys, etc.  I try to strive for a balance between super professional and casual
Fridays.

I probably wear pantyhose to school a couple of times a year.  Otherwise,
it's pants or long skirts with bare legs.   Life is too short to be
uncomfortable.  Oh, the only time I wear heels is during Open House when I actually 
have
time to sit down.

In case you've never done this activity (filming yourself in action with
students), I highly recommend it.  You learn so many things about yourself and the
kids.  You won't believe how many times you'll catch yourself saying "Okay".
