MID: Magazine subscriptions

I'm new at the middle school level and have inherited these magazine
subscriptions:

BMX Plus
Consumer Reports
ESPN Magazine
Motor Trend
National Geographic
Newsweek

I'd like to add more leisure reading titles to this list. Please send me
your five essential magazines for middle school.

I know there has been some controversy about YM, Teen, and Seventeen. What
are alternatives to these for girls?
