While I do not consider Goosebumps books "great" literature, I have always kept
them in my collection. There are readers (usually boys) who are interested in
them. I will say that the demand has lessened in recent years. However if there is
a reissue of the first set of books, I can guess that the demand will increase.
Some of the books in our collection were donated by kids and others were given to
us from book sale samples. I consider Goosebumps books in the same category as the
Babysitter Club boooks: not great literature but popular with students at one
time. I limit my collection to paperbacks and when they fall apart, I do not
replace them.
