software suggestions

Hello friends,
       I'm here to ask for your help again. I have been given a grant to
purchase software. I would like your suggestions on the best software to get for a
k-4 building. This is a brand new intercity school with a  new media
specialist!  The library has 6 computers and one computer per classroom. I need your
expert opinions. Thanks ahead of time because I know I'll get the best advise.
