I am wondering how my fellow librarians show their patrons what Reading
Counts books they have in their libraries. Let me share with you how I
am currently doing and then you can share with me how you do it and make
suggestions.
First of all, we label each book with a RC label printed out from the RC
program. This has the book title, author, RL ,GL ,Lexile Level and
Points on it and is color coded according to Reading Level. We also
have a printed list of the books we have tests for. I have several
copies of this list located in a periodical box beside a stuffed owl.
It's wise to read. LOL! Anyway back on target. I also have list posted
in each section of the stacks showing which books are RC books.
What all do you guys and gals do to show off your RC collection and to
help patrons locate them?
