[LM_NET] SEC, GEN: Project Ideas on Wars

Dear Group,

As part of the course on the literature of war I am teaching collaboratively with 
an English teacher, I am looking for project ideas on wars in the Ancient World, 
Middle Ages or during the American Civil War. This is a second semester senior 
English elective and the students are generally not inclined to exert themselves.  
We are particularly interested in projects that might use creative or presentation 
skills.  One idea that has occurred to us is to have students describe or draw the 
uniforms and equipment that soldiers wore in different eras. 

I would love suggestions from the most creative, talented people I know.
