I checked with the editor of Sears, and here is his response:

LCSH does have a heading for Y2K.  It is:
 Year 2000 date conversion (Computer systems).  LCSH96000895

SEARS does not have a Y2K heading, and probably will not in the next
edition, since the next edition is scheduled for Spring 2000 when the
Y2K problem will (one hopes) be old news.  Anyone using Sears headings
is encouraged to add the LC heading above, as needed.  The appropriate
broader term reference would be Computer science.
