We have just completed the reconsideration procedure for a challenged
book, The Goats by Brock Cole. The building committee met and decided
that the book should remain on the library's shelf. My principal wants
me to compose the letter that will be sent to the parent who initiated
the challenge. Do you have any suggestions of what I should say in the
letter? I can think of a lot of things I WANT to say, but what should I
really say? How can I respond in a respectful way that won't fuel the
flames? We're going to have this parent around for several more years
because there are younger siblings. Thanks for your help.
