TECH: Alphasmart, Dreamwriter?

My system is checking into the Alphasmart and Dreamwriter
keyboards.  Is anyone familiar with another reasonably priced
keyboard that could be loaned out to students?  Also, if you've
had a chance to use both, how do they compare? Which do you
prefer, and why?  These would be used at different levels.
