Hi to the kids doing reports on authors,
 
You probably already checked the multi-volume reference books Something About
the Author, and the Junior Book of Authors series. I have a book from the NCTE
called Speaking for Ourselves, Too (1993) that has author autobiographies.  My
students often find the "newer" authors there.  The is a previous edition
(1990) called Speaking for Ourselves.  Check the reference collection in your
library for these great titles!
