[LM_NET] READ Posters

Friends-

I remember reading a post a few weeks ago about ALA READ posters.

I bought the CD-Roms and my colleagues and I are busy creating posters for next 
fall.

Each teacher will have an 11x17 poster on their door--when students arrive in the 
fall, they will not just find room numbers, but posters of each of their teachers 
on the door. 

Staff has really gotten into the idea. We've gotten most of them done, but I 
thought you'd all like to see the progress so far.

Tech Stuff: Ignore if you're not interested:

-I had to max the RAM in my laptop to make it process fast enough to use Photoshop 
Elements efficiently.

-Kinko's makes 11x17 color copies cheaper than my local ISD. I've got to render all 
of the *.psd's as *.pdf's.

-Some teachers wanted/provided custom backgrounds. Flickr was a good source. I 
realize I'm probably in some copyright "grey area" with a couple--but they are 
mostly from tourist photos, which I'm thinking are fair game.

-The more of these you do, the faster you get.
