[LM_NET] PR Tip

Dear Friends,

I recently attended our annual school librarian conference here in PA.  At the 
conference I heard of a great PR idea from another librarian at one of our 
sessions.  When you attend your annual conference, when you return, send a short 
thank you note to your principal/superintendent/headmaster/ etc. thanking them for 
approving your conference request.  It was also suggested that you attach a "treat" 
from the location of your conference.  (I put a Hershey bar onto mine.) 

I know that many people are not permitted to attend conferences and that 
programs/positions are being cut all over the country.  However,for those that can 
attend, this is a great way to get the word out about how professional development 
helps us to better serve our students.
