[LM_NET] Non-fiction idea for summer reading list

Below are the 9 books that will become part of my school's 10 books for the 10 
weeks of summer reading list, but we need one more.  What I want is a great 
non-fiction book like, Devil in the White City.  Something that will read almost 
like a novel.  Any ideas?

The Diving Bell and the  Butterfly
       The Road

       Book Thief (Rosie 09)
       American Made Chinese (R 09)
       Slaughter House 5 
       Water for Elephants
       Ice Castle (R 09)
                     A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
       A Tale of Two Cities
