What are music copyright rules for playing portions of songs during a school
play? I’ve seen conflicting rules about educational use and “fair use.”
So far I’ve come across documents that state as long as 1) no more than 3mins
of a song is played 2) no CD recordings are distributed and 3) it is not
a prominent portion of the show (i.e. only mood music) then it is fine… but
I thought I would check with the experts J
thank you
