While reading an article about using cellphones in education, I wondered if anyone
has explored the possibility of sending overdue notice text messages to students.
I can think of privacy issues that might arise from collecting phone numbers, and
from inputing those number into online service which actually sends the texts.
Also most cell carries charge for text messages if you are not on an unlimited
plan. So I'm wondering if there's too many issues that would discourage using text
messaging in this way. Any thoughts or experiences? If it worked, it would be
brilliant for me. I have the hardest time tracking students down to give them
their overdue notices. I'd love to hear what you have to say about this. I'll
post a HIT
