[LM_NET] ELEM: Dewey Decimal Lessons

Hi All,

I know there are some hits posted in the archives, but most of the links
contained in them are out of date.

This past week I reviewed Dewey with my 3rd graders--we looked at a
powerpoint on the basics of the 10 sections and practiced using a sheet
called Dewey Decimal Number for Kids as I held up some books and asked which
section they belonged in. Over the next two weeks, I would like to continue
this discussion doing sections 000-599 this coming week and sections 600-999
the following week. What I am looking for is an interesting/exciting way to
do this since I think my powerpoint presentation almost bored the kids to
death. I would prefer something that does not involve powerpoint or too much
use of a computer. And I think I am being observed this week (although I
don't know which grade level).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
